Admissions

Admission Requirements
Applicants not enrolled in high school are eligible for admission provided that:

• They are at least eighteen (18) years of age or have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• They declare an occupational objective and demonstrate, through testing and counseling, reasonable potential for achieving that objective.
Applicants enrolled in high school are eligible for admission provided that:

An agreement authorizing such admission exists between the local Board of Education and the Tennessee Technology Center. Such agreements are subject to approval of the Vice Chancellor or his designee.
Enrollment is limited to one (1) occupational area.

Special Admission Requirements

Practical Nursing students must have a high school diploma or GED, maintain a passing score on the entrance exam, and successfully complete a thorough physical exam. The entrance exam is administered the first Friday of each month and the cost is $30.00 (cash only). Truck Driving students must be 21 years or older, have a DOT Certified Physical Exam, a good Moving Violation Record, and meet the requirements of the Institutional Drug Policy.
