Machine Tool Technology/CNC
Course Description
The Machine Tool Technology program is a state of the art program aimed at preparing people for entry into employment in machine shop work. Instruction includes shop math, machine shop theory, blueprint reading and sketching, use of hand tools and technical manuals, and the use precision measuring instruments.
Instruction also includes the set up and operation of machine tools, use of hand tools, and related processes in the fabrication of articles and parts from metal. The development of skills and attitudes essential to successful employment is also included.
Machine Tool Technology also includes setup and operations of computer controlled milling machines and lathes. Programming is taught on the machine tools and by the use of CAD -CAM computers.
